The orange scaly fop fungus together with a small passenger (cicada) photographed in the Schoorl dunes using a so-called focus stack. This is a composite photo which greatly improves the depth of field visible in the enlargement compared to normal macro photos
The small Cicada is an accidental but very welcome by-catch. The mushroom season is running longer due to warmer temperatures so one can still find them in mid-November.
