The vehicle had a clear, rectangular shape with sharp lines, which earned it the nickname "Box Bird". The term alludes to the rectangular, "boxy" shape of the car, while "Bird" naturally refers to the name "Thunderbird", which means bird. This nickname therefore emphasises the striking, angular design of the car.
The Ford Thunderbird model series is one of the American luxury liners and was built in 11 generations from 1955 to 2005 the "Retro-Birds".
