The Octopoda (derived from Greek Ὀκτάπους, 'eight-legged') are an order within the class of Cephalopoda (from Greek κεφαλόποδα ("cephalopods"), Dutch: inktvissen) with eight arms or tentacles and three hearts.[1] The best-known genus within this order of squids is Octopus, and species of other genera are often referred to as octopus in English. These animals can nest in all kinds of crevices to look for food or a hiding place.
