I discovered this architectural interior photo in the underground station of the former U55 line in Berlin's Mitte district.
The graphic, modern, urban motif was taken by me on 11 January 2015 in the evening hours with the NIKON D90 camera (lens: NIKKOR 18.0-50.0 mm f/2.8).
The underground line U55 was a line of the Berlin underground between Brandenburger Tor and Hauptbahnhof, which ran in island operation from 8 August 2009 to 17 March 2020.
The 1.8-kilometre route is part of the extension of the U5 line from Alexanderplatz to the west, also known as the "Kanzler U-Bahn". With the commissioning of the section from Alexanderplatz to the Brandenburg Gate on
4 December 2020, it became part of the U5 line.
