Fort de la Chartreuse in Liège, Belgium. This fort dates back to the days of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the Belgian struggle for independence. After the fort served as a prison and military hospital in both World Wars, the complex has been left to decay. By now, nature has almost completely taken over - the trees are literally growing through the roof.
Inside the buildings, decay caused by nature sits side by side with decay caused by man. The electrical systems have mostly been removed - whatever remains is left to rust and decay.
