The trees of the Branch Heights catch the first sunlight in the Branch Heights area. The oak trees along the footpath look beautifully frosted. The trunks glow soft orange through the early skimming light. It is a crisp winter morning. The temperature is eight degrees below zero. The grasses are frosted white.
Takkenhoogte is part of the Reestdal, a nature reserve on the border of the Dutch provinces of Overijssel and Drenthe. The area is managed by Het Drentse Landschap.
This work can be used well to give a somewhat larger space a quiet, more private character.
