From St Andrews Street, you walk straight into the grounds of Emmanuel College. The first 20 students of this historic college were admitted here back in 1584. Directly opposite the entrance is the Chapel, and the colonnade that runs alongside it covers the entire width of the courtyard. This photo was taken from the colonnade, the Chapel is located behind the viewer. There are several memorial stones at both ends, including for fallen men of the College during World War I. For this photo, I chose a composition in which you can see the gallery and part of the courtyard. In the background, between the columns, you can see a part of the Dining Hall.
