An unusual geometric pattern can be seen on this artwork. Several diamond-shaped patterns are depicted there in different shades. What stands out are the six diamond shapes in white tones that seem to give off light in this artwork, they shine in the geometric pattern.
At first glance, this pattern of diamond shapes seems to consist of only geometric shapes. But when you get a little closer, you see that the pattern is formed by a multitude of dots. Dots in all sorts of colours. Dots that together form this geometric pattern. A pattern that repeats and reflects itself.
It is a multitude of dots. And also a multitude of different pictures shown here.
As a basis for this colourful artwork, I took several photos of a semicircular glass object. With the right lighting added, a special pattern of light breaking through the glass was created. The photos were taken from different angles of the glass object and merged with my camera.
I further processed the final result digitally. A dot pattern was created in the style of pointillism. A style of art where the differently coloured dots create an effect of light and dark.
This artwork was eventually made up of sixteen versions of the geometric pattern with diamonds and dots, ultimately creating a special and unique work of art.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
