On this map the building blocks of Rotterdam are shaped like pieces of glass in fifteen different random colors on a stainless steel surface. The map shows the city center and the surrounding area, roughly the area inside the ringroad.
Although roads, water features and other landmarks are absent, one can clearly recognize the graceful swing of the river Nieuwe Maas. Also large water basins like Rijnhaven Maashaven, Waalhven and Lake Kralingen can easily be found, as well as districts like Feijenoord Katendrecht and Noordereiland. Someone who knows the city can also immediately trace a few large buildings: the Central Station, Ahoy and Zuidplein, the Peperclip and of course Feijenoord stadium the Kuip.
