This started life as an acrylic pour painting, created using a hammer smash technique. Yes, literally, using a hammer in my art studio to work with pools of pastel shades of pink and blue and encouraging the paint to spread out across the canvas. It can be messy but I like the way the paint almost explodes on the surface in a dynamic way. I felt the final painting needed some smoothing so I scanned it into my computer and put it through a painter programme to clarify the shapes and colours.
Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
