Hydraulic structures from different periods can be found along the German Baltic coast. Here in the Bay of Wismar, not far from the holiday resort of Zierow, I found the groyne shown in the photo, which was probably once used for coastal protection. Its best days are probably behind it.
It was an early autumn day. On the day of the photograph, there was a calm over the bay. Occasionally you could hear the call of herring gulls and see them gliding flat over the very calm sea. It was a beautiful moment that was also transmitted to the groyne ensemble. I sat in a crouching position and watched this fascinating still life scene from this angle. It clicked, the mirror fell and the photograph was in the can.
My dream view on this March day, which I would like to share with interested people as a work of art. I can very well imagine this calming picture as an aluminium dibond, for example in the dimensions 195 x 130, in a bedroom.
