"Half Ball Thistle sparkles in front of brilliant background" is a macro photo of a bulb (flower) of a Ball Thistle. This bulb looks very cool up close. Looks like there are all these little flowers on it, about to open. Just over half of the bulb is in the photo, creating a calm image.
The background was created from an effect I created through lighting, camera settings and a few materials. By applying this in the right way, you get beautiful spheres (actually more like 8 corners) in the background, in all sorts of different brown tones, such as beige, taupe, sand and cream. It looks like the background is shimmering, hence the title.
Because I chose a shallow depth of field when taking this picture, mainly the front small "flowers" are in focus. The further something is behind it, the further it fades. This gives a sense of depth to the work. In addition, this also gives a nice dreamy feel to the picture. If you zoom in on the work, you can see this clearly!
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration in the kitchen, bedroom, dining room or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!
