"A half blue - lilac spherical thistle (Echinops) partly in bloom" is a macro photo of a spherical thistle (Echinops) already largely in bloom. The "flowers" on the underside of the bulb have yet to open.
When taking this picture, I chose a shallow depth of field, creating a sense of depth in the work. This also gives a dreamy feel to the photo, as the sharpness, from the focal point, gradually fades. If you zoom in on the work, you can see this clearly. This blurs the background and brings the Bull Thistle into the foreground nicely.
I would personally describe the background colour as grey-blue, but to my mind there is also something of a purple colour in it.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration on, for example, aluminium, HD metal or artframe in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or just above the couch in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business).
