About ‘Halle (Saale) - Cathedral’ by Thomas Bugdoll
Halle Cathedral is the oldest surviving church building in the historic centre of Halle. The archbishops of Magdeburg resided here for a long time as rulers of the city. Today's Halle Cathedral was built around 1270 by Dominican monks as the monastery church of St Paul of the Holy Cross.
