About ‘Het Puttertje - a 2025 mash-up’ by Marja van den Hurk
‘The Goldfinch’ is a painting by Dutch painter Carel Fabritius from 1654.
The portrait of the bird was digitally adapted by me in 2025 and I complemented it with fragments from paintings by other painters, thus transforming the original image into a painting with a summery twist and a cheerful wink.
