High speed pass F/A-18C Hornet during airshow. High speed pass of a USMC F/A-18C Hornet from VFA 106 Gladiators during an airshow at Naval Air Station Oceana. High speed pass at an airshow means the aircraft is flying just short of sound barrier (Mach 1). If the humidity is high enough, this air condenses around the plane and you get to see the little clouds as shown in this picture.
