About ‘High tide and ice in the Lower Rhine’ by Anne Ponsen
The high water in the Lower Rhine near Arnhem was already subsiding slightly when I took this photo. There was still ice on it but it was clearly already breaking up due to footsteps and stones, leaving water on it. The sun was about to set, creating a beautiful interplay of lines between the poles and the melting water on the ice.

I'm 56 years old and I love to read and photograph. I don't have a special photography interest; I like a lot of subjects and so it's worthwhile to photograph. (Extreme) macro I really like to do, but I don't do stacking and I also edit as little as possible.
