This hyperrealistic collage shows a carefully curated selection of wildflowers, presented against a bright white background. The almost two-dimensional approach and deliberately overexposed character create an image that balances between photography and graphic art. The flowers seem to float in a white space, detached from their natural environment, bringing form, line and colour to the fore.
The overexposure softens shadows and depth, giving the work a subdued and ethereal quality. Details such as petals, stamens and stems remain clearly visible, but without the usual spatial context. This effect emphasises the collage-like structure: each botanical element functions as an independent fragment, while the whole forms a rhythmic composition. The white background acts as a silent stage on which the wildflowers display their subtle differences in structure and hue.
In terms of content and aesthetics, the work ties in with historical botanical studies, but translated into a contemporary photographic language. There are clear parallels with Anna Atkins' botanical photograms, in which plants were also stripped of their surroundings and reduced to form and silhouette. The work of Karl Blossfeldt, known for his isolated and almost abstract plant studies, also resonates in this collage. In addition, the minimalist, slightly saturated style evokes associations with modern studio photography and contemporary art in which nature is analysed rather than depicted narratively.
The result is a tranquil and analytical image in which wildflowers are presented not as a romantic landscape, but as visual elements. The collage invites the viewer to look closely at detail, repetition and nuance, and shows how light and reduction can transform a botanical subject into an almost abstract composition.
