The Iguazú Falls, which stretch along the border between Brazil and Argentina, are one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. With over 270 individual waterfalls stretching over a length of almost three kilometres, they offer a breathtaking spectacle of thundering masses of water and shimmering rainbows. The water plunges over the cliffs with enormous force, while the spray covers the lush, tropical vegetation like a veil.
Particularly impressive is the "Garganta del Diablo", the "Devil's Throat", a horseshoe-shaped gorge into which the water falls with such intensity that the mist almost obscures the view and creates a deafening roar. Surrounded by the dense jungle of the national park, which is home to an incredible variety of plants and animals, the place is like a living paradise. Visitors can experience the waterfalls from well-developed paths and footbridges that lead right up to the roaring water, or from a bird's eye view on a boat trip or helicopter flight.
The sheer size, the unbridled power of nature and the impressive landscape make the Iguazú Falls one of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
