The historic Itsukushima Shrine is known for its breathtaking torii gate, which appears to float in the water at high tide. This Shinto shrine is picturesquely located on the shore of Miyajima Island in Hiroshima Bay and was first built in the 6th century and has been expanded and renovated over time. It is a fascinating scene to see the torii gate against the backdrop of the sea and the surrounding hills and offers a particularly impressive and picturesque setting at sunset in black and white. Fantastic cityscape from a series of additional urban impressions.
