In harmony

by Christian Ovís

A koala mum sits with her little joey amongst graceful leafy branches. Her large, round ears and gentle face dominate the upper part of the illustration. The joey rests in her arms, with its eyes closed and in a relaxed posture. Thin lines on the ears, legs and leaves connect the animal figures to their surroundings. The light background makes the rounded silhouettes stand out clearly.

Muted greens, beiges and soft rusty browns set the tone. The koala is constructed from broad, simple shapes, with subtle shadows around the face and arms. Pink cheeks give the mother a warm appearance. The branches run upwards along the sides and frame the pair without drawing attention away from their embrace. The vertical composition feels calm and balanced, with the little koala as a tender detail close to the centre.

This animal portrait is ideal for a nursery or children’s room with natural colours. It complements olive-green accessories, beige textiles and light wooden furniture. The combination of botanical forms and a protective embrace creates a friendly focal point on the wall. The image invites quiet contemplation and depicts care in a simple, recognisable way.
