About "Industrial dragon made of metal (AI) (rust, scrap, fantasy, mythical, old parts, steampunk)"

by Natalie Bruns

About the artwork

This artwork depicts an impressive dragon constructed from what looks like scrap metal. At a first glance, you see the menacing head with open mouth and sharp teeth. A longer look reveals the many unique details that make this work so special: rusty bolts, nuts, gears, metal plates and screws that make up the scales and horns. The eye is made up of rings and screw patterns, giving the dragon an intense, almost lifelike character.

The use of colour consists of warm rust tones. Red brown, copper and dark brown, evoking a tough and industrial feel. The atmosphere is raw, powerful and a touch mythical. This work gives a cool, robust feeling rather than a warm feel. It looks like someone went past the junkyard and collected as many parts as possible, then puzzled endlessly until this dragon came to life.

This artwork is part of a series of six works in the same style: a racing bike, a rod fish with lamp, a dragon, a fisherman, a lion and a whale. Each work is constructed with the same playful thought: what if old, useless materials are given new life in a work of art?

The artwork fits perfectly in a mancave, industrial loft or modern interior with cool accents. It appeals to fans of fantasy, power and mythical stories, as well as anyone who likes a rugged, masculine style. In a space with concrete, steel, wood and leather furniture, this work comes into its own.

My love for working with different materials and my passion for recycling inspired me to create this series using AI. Items that have lost their original purpose are given a second chance here. This makes this work not only decorative, but also a powerful symbol of creativity and sustainability.

Conceived by Natalie Bruns, visualized with AI.
