About ‘It’s as if time has stood still.’ by Peter Heins
6, 7 and 8 October started with fog. Fog makes for some rather mystical photo's. So I was out and about for three days. These are the windmills near Rustenburg. There were a few clouds visible above the fog. Because of the fog, the houses and the pylons fade into the background. So fog also creates a more tranquil scene.

I’ve been taking photographs since 1975. I started out with a Practika for my biology dissertation. After that, I carried on with analogue photography. When digital photography came along, I started out with Olympus, but later switched back to Canon. And that’s still the case today. Via sports photography, model photography and a few weddings, I eventually ended up in landscape photography. And particularly in the northern part of North Holland.
