In Komodo National Park in Indonesia, you may encounter various species of jellyfish. Although most jellyfish in this area are harmless, there are some local species that can cause painful stings. Here is everything you need to know about jellyfish during your visit:

Common Species
Harmless jellyfish: You may encounter beautiful, harmless jellyfish here, such as the upside-down jellyfish (Cassiopea), which lives on the seabed amongst the mangroves, or the translucent moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita).
Painful jellyfish: In open waters, you may occasionally encounter species such as Pelagia noctiluca or the Portuguese man-of-war. Contact with these causes a painful, stinging sensation on the skin.
Please note: The highly dangerous box jellyfish is rare in the park, but is occasionally spotted in the wider Indonesian archipelago.

Safety Tips
Wear a rashguard or wetsuit whilst snorkelling. This protects you from potential jellyfish stings and other stinging organisms in the water.
When on excursions, swim near an experienced local guide or tour operator. They know the currents and exactly where it is safe to swim.
Jellyfish are sometimes attracted to plastic in the ocean, as they mistake it for food. Therefore, never throw rubbish into the sea.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
