Because of Corona, in 2022 the "Easter Kempenoption" was organized which passed through the streets of Hapert on April 18, Easter Monday.
Based on the many pictures I took that day, I composed the drawing below.
I am just using my IPhone, so I could not always see the faces of the people in the drawing very well. They are dancing exuberantly, standing in a big cloud of smoke, or looking just the wrong direction ... Hence, I had to occasionally cheat a bit on other people's photos.
Nevertheless, I think I probably didn't succeed in getting them to look completely alike. Personally, I don't think that's a big problem, because to me it's mainly about the overall atmosphere.
The arrangement, too, was born of my imagination. In the front you see the big winner 'De Koekwauze' from Bladel and behind it 'Het B(r)ouwersgilze' from Reusel. In reality, you had to wait until the procession was completely over before you could see the young Blaal carnival celebrities in action.
Themes are: 'Duty of Service' and 'Secret Operation'. That fits together a bit, doesn't it?
