The Petronas Twin Towers is a tower complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When it was inaugurated in 1998, it was the tallest building in the world, marking the first time since medieval times that the world's tallest building was not in the Western world. On 17 October 2003, it was surpassed in height by Taipei 101. However, the Petronas Twin Towers remain the tallest identical buildings in the world.
The two spires reach a height of 452 metres. This places the Petronas Twin Towers complex at position nine in the list of tallest building in the world as of 2015.[1] The building has 88 floors. The highest floor in the building is 375 metres high and the roof is 378.6 metres high.
