Venice
What images come to mind?
I wanted to experience Venice in a different way than crowded alleys and cruise ships travelling through Venice.
I was looking for the mysterious, quiet and old Venice.
That's why I travelled to Venice in winter.
In winter, the city is often covered in fog and it's cold.
Just like in the picture.
Gondolas are moored on the promenade from St Mark's Square. A small wooden bridge leads to the water and the gondolas.
The island of San Giorgio is actually in the line of sight of the small wooden bridge, but none of it is visible due to the thick lake fog.
The picture was taken at dusk, so there was a pleasant lighting mood.
An impressive scene for me, as it shows the original Venice.
The scenes look lively due to the movement of the gondolas in the surging water, which, however, appears calm due to the longer exposure.
The photographic technique gives the picture a dreamlike beauty.
Nature is my passion and I want to share it with other people through my pictures. Whenever possible, I go out into nature with my camera.
