I like to be guided by my intuition, and so I was drawn to the Hessian Rhön in winter.
After days of snowfall, the winter landscape was dreamlike. I was walking through a young forest and spontaneously had the idea for this picture.
I captured this wintry atmosphere using a technique I had learnt myself.
I liked this abstract type of photography, which tends towards the impressionistic.
The fact that the snow itself clung to the tree trunks created beautiful patterns.
Alone in this marvellous forest, I completely lost track of time while photographing. When can you capture such a great winter atmosphere these days?
I am simply a nature person who is inspired by nature. Nature has so many positive things, you just have to get involved with it. I've never been disappointed.
The nice thing about the abstract is that everyone can make up their own mind about what they see.
