Winter is a great time for me to take photos, especially when there is snow. The contrast between the white snow or hoar frost and the surrounding nature is simply highly photogenic.
In the picture here, I was walking in my local forest near Seligenstadt.
After I had already taken a few test pictures, I used my own photographic technique to create an impressionistic representation of the scenery. I had found a suitable spot with foliage and conifers. Fresh snow still hung on the coarse bark of the conifers and the light penetrated through the light canopy of the forest.
The dark wood and the light-coloured snow, as well as the light, create a beautiful contrast.
If you look more closely, you can recognise more and more details.
You don't always have to wander into the distance when beauty is so close. The conditions simply have to be right and the idea has to fit.
