The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a redesigned two-seater version of the modern naval attack fighter F/A-18F Super Hornet. The Growler was phased in to the U.S. Navy from 2007.
The Boeing EA-18G is intended for electronic warfare and was developed to replace the Grumman EA-6 Prowler. This aircraft was introduced in 1971 and came to the end of its operational life after many years of use.
