About the artwork
Abstract suggestion of structures, shapes and colors inspired by the structures of the great metropolis.
As a painter, you can talk through your paintings. You can convey a story or evoke emotions through images. For me, paint, brushes and canvas are just tools to generate these emotions or stories and bring them to life. When I paint, my mind directs the tools to the end result.
Patterns and structures that appear on my canvases come from somewhere. Where I myself may have limited influence. Structures and patterns I make, no one else makes. They follow a certain recognizable rhythm, which is present somewhere in me as energy.
About Marcel Klever
1991 Marcel was trained at the Utrecht School of the Arts as an interior designer and furniture designer. The class of free painting was then enthusiastically followed.
