Léon-François Comerre (1850-1916) was a French academic painter known for his portraits, odalisques and mythological scenes in the style of Symbolism and Orientalism. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, won the Prix de Rome in 1875 and exhibited internationally. His works are characterised by elegant compositions and detailed depictions.
