This painting was born out of a dream of silence - of inner and outer peace. On a quiet coastline at sunset stands an easel with a canvas on which a white dove hovers above the sea. But this is not just a painting within a painting; it is a metaphor for hope, rebirth and the artist's role in bringing vision to life.
The idea arose during a period of personal reflection, when the sea represented my emotions and the dove stood for clarity. I chose bright yellows, soft oranges and soothing blues to balance tension and serenity. The green boat, firmly anchored but ready to leave, suggests that peace is something we can step on - something we can consciously choose.
I worked with acrylic paint because of its texture and quick drying time, which allowed me to paint intuitively and in layers. The surface is slightly textured, allowing the light to move naturally with it. The painting is finished with a protective varnish and ready to hang.
I hope viewers feel lifted. That they pause for a moment and remember: peace - whether personal or global - always begins in our imagination.
