This photo is inspired by Édouard Manet's painting "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe" and shows a moment of human intimacy and tenderness in the midst of green nature. It is also about the human connection between all people, regardless of gender. In support of this message, one of the models is a transgender person. It is also about the human connection to nature itself, which provides the space and chemical conditions to feel tenderness, closeness and emotional and physical attraction.
The light in this captured moment comes from natural sunlight. The word "clearing" refers to a place in the forest where less tree cover allows more light to enter. This photo was taken in such a place. The title "Glade" was therefore chosen deliberately and with a double meaning: Together with the work, it conveys the desire to bring more light and awareness into all human relationships, as well as into the world in general, and to create more moments of connection and peace like this one.
