One of the most fundamental elements of photography is light. Without light - no photography. But where there is light, there is also shadow. These two opposites never appear separately - they only exist together, inextricably linked.
Sometimes, however, something special happens: light and shadow come together in a kind of perfect harmony. They complement each other, enhance each other and create a visual magic that goes beyond the everyday.
I was able to capture such a moment - in an already exciting hallway. The natural late morning sun streamed in full force through a coffered glass window, while on the left side of the picture an artificial light recedes almost shyly into the background - like a substitute player ready to intervene, but allowing the spectacle of the sunlight to take precedence.
This scene was a perfect interplay: the shapes, the contrasts, the play of light and dark - a moment in which technology, nature and chance came together to create a single, impressive image.
