Awakening nature at the foot of the Austrian Alps.
It is always fascinating to see how nature finds the strength to renew itself year after year. The grey, cold winter is followed by the lively spring, then the energetic summer, followed by the colourful autumn - and so the year comes full circle again.
Spring is one of my favourite seasons. The trees leaf out, the meadows blossom in bright colours. Everywhere is buzzing, singing and alive. The birds are busy building their nests and creating a new home. It is a time of awakening, renewal and new beginnings. Everything seems possible, everything starts all over again - with fresh energy and new light.
This idyllic landscape picture was taken in a small alleyway in Lermoos, shortly after sunrise.
The air was still cool, the dew lay gently on the grass and a delicate mist hung over the fields. It was one of those perfect, quiet moments in which nature is still completely at one with itself - undisturbed, peaceful and full of hope.
