A long exposure with the opportunity
Of adding fire as electricity
a symbolic representation of reality
My illustrative art originates from ideas that arise in my daily life. I am permanently building imaginations in my studio. This picture was taken with a pinhole camera I constructed myself. The exposure is 105 seconds, in this I used a lit match to bring the fire during the exposure. It is a record my constant progression of my development and life as an artist: an image diary with the aim of making the images I see in my head real. The images start as a Table-top photo that I digitally edit to make the original imaginary image, which develops in my mind.
Photographic artist Bob Karhof has been experimenting with the photographic medium since 1993.
