My illustrative art arises from ideas generated in my daily life. I am permanently building imaginations in my studio. This picture was taken in my studio when I was much preoccupied with the impermanence of time. Building a setup that depicts the history of labour in a nostalgic golden imagination. The texture of rust in these paint cans. A snapshot in the life of a timeless painter. This is a record my constant progression of my development and life as an artist: a kind of image diary with the aim of making the images I see in my head real.
Photographic artist Bob Karhof has been experimenting with the photographic medium since 1993.
