Rubjerg Knude Fyr is a famous lighthouse in Denmark, located on the west coast of northern Jutland, near the town of Lønstrup. The lighthouse was built in 1900 on a high sand dune and was in use until 1968. Due to the constant erosion of the cliffs and drifting sand, the lighthouse has been increasingly threatened by the sea over the years. In 2019, the lighthouse was spectacularly moved 70 metres inland to prevent it from plunging into the sea. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction and an icon of the Danish coast.
