Lockheed C-121 Constellation (VH-EAG) in the colors of Qantas.
The aircraft in the photo was delivered to the US Air Force in 1955 as a Lockheed L-1049F with registration 54-0157.
In 1977, the aircraft was transferred to Tucson where it sat in the desert for almost 20 years.
In the early 1990s, the aircraft was restored and received the registration VH-EAG in 1994. In 1996, the aircraft was flown over to Australia.
I took this photo on March 4, 2017 during the Australian International Airshow, also known as the Avalon Airshow.
