Sometimes you find a place that feels as if time has stood still. This majestic solitary tree in the Kyffhäuserkreis district, nestled deep in the vast fields of Thuringia, is just such a place. I had been looking for a motif like this for a long time - a tree that stands alone and yet seems firmly rooted, a symbol of permanence in a constantly changing world.
I returned there on a clear summer night - camera in hand, heart full of anticipation. The Milky Way stretched across the sky like a luminous ribbon, gently framed by the twilight that still left a hint of gold on the horizon. The tree rose silently and proudly into the night - a solitary sentinel listening to the stars.
As I waited for the right moment, I realised how rare such moments have become. No traffic, no noise - just the soft rustle of the wind in the grasses and the infinite twinkle above me. For me, this picture is more than just a photo - it is a reminder of the silence that we sometimes miss and the beauty that we often overlook.
As a mural in landscape format, it is ideal for rooms that should radiate tranquillity, depth and closeness to nature. A motif for pausing, dreaming and taking a deep breath.
