Soft red and orange shapes float in a hazy environment of pale yellow and purple. Three figures are visible: one separately on the left, and two closer together on the right. Their outlines are vague, almost dissolved in colour - as if they don't quite exist in the same reality. The lines flow into each other, blurring the line between proximity and distance.
The inspiration for this work comes from the feeling of loneliness in the midst of others. The moment when you are physically present but inwardly distant - surrounded but unconnected. The colour red represents warmth and longing, while the soft transitions of yellow and purple represent the emotional layers of comfort and loss.
The technique, done in chalk and pastel, enhances the fragility of the theme. There is no hard line, no structure; everything is soft, as if reality itself is fading away. The figures seem to move in silence, caught in their own atmosphere of feeling.
In an interior, this work brings calm, but also introspection. It invites empathy and recognition - a visual whisper about the human need for connection.
