In Sweden, you see a lot of lupins. Along the roads they are sometimes hundreds of metres long. They are considered a bit of a weed there, while here in the Netherlands we buy them in the garden centre. I think they are beautiful flowers in different shades of pink, lilac and purple. In this photo, I deliberately placed differently coloured lupine plants out of focus in the background for contrast and depth. This also gives a somewhat dreamy image.
