Composition of lush tulip leaves in Magenta and ochre shades.
This artprint is one of the works in my series The fingerprint of leaves. A collection that is constantly growing. In this series of artworks, I want to show the unique line drawings in the (in this case) tulip leaves in my own unique way.
The small 'imperfections' in the leaves, such as cracks, creases and lines I personally find beautiful to see. The transparency and layering created by overlapping some of the petals also gives a nice effect. Because it is a close-up photo, it is especially pleasing to the eye when printed in a larger format, and you can always discover new details that you would not normally see with the naked eye.
This artwork stands out on a colourful wall, and goes well with warm interior colours like ochre, terra, pink and magenta.
