Sometimes beauty is just around the corner......
In Culemborg, in the Parijsch neighbourhood where I live, there are a few groups of Magnolia Susan trees. When they bloom, early this year (2025) at the end of March, they are fantastic!
Instead of the soft pink flowers of the most famous tulip tree, these are dark pink. Magenta idd.
Then look how beautifully the largest flower unfolds.
The sky was grey the afternoon I took this picture and there was beautiful natural light, making it look like the branch is detached from the background.
I took a number of photos here'all different, but each with their own atmosphere, which together also look beautiful on your wall.

The magnolia symbolises beauty and elegance and longevity, as the trees themselves can often live for hundreds of years.
In Japan, the magnolia has wonderful symbolic meaning. Here, the flower represents purity, courage and grace and is associated with feminine strength and beauty, with the magnolia believed to protect against negative influences and evil. The delicate yet strong flower can symbolise the balance between vulnerability and strength.
