About ‘Meditation by the lake’ by Rita Fuchs

At Lake Hopfensee near Füssen, nestled in the gentle landscape of the Ostallgäu, the day begins with a magical spectacle. A delicate veil of morning mist still hangs over the still water as the first rays of sunshine touch the peaks of the Allgäu Alps. The mountains glow with a warm golden light, whilst the lake reflects their beauty like a mirror.
Sitting on a small bench by the shore, the world seems to hold its breath for a moment. The reeds barely stir in the gentle morning breeze, and the water lies almost completely still. Only the occasional fine ripple ripples across the surface before vanishing silently into the mist.
The rising sun bathes the landscape in a soft light that makes every contour appear gentler. The crisp morning air fills the senses with freshness and bestows a feeling of both freedom and security. Here, sky, water and mountains merge into a harmonious scene that touches the heart and soul.
It is not without reason that Lake Hopfensee is nicknamed the ‘Riviera of the Allgäu’. In the early hours of the morning, it exudes a very special sense of romance. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, every ray of sunshine, every wisp of mist and every reflection on the water speaks of nature’s tranquil beauty. A place where one wants to linger, dream and savour life’s precious moments.
