About ‘Morning by the lake’ by Rita Fuchs

A sunrise at Lake Hopfensee is like a quiet promise that nature bestows upon anyone who gets up early enough to hear it. When the morning mist hovers over the water, as if to shield the lake from the world, a moment arises that feels delicate and almost fragile. The first rays of sunlight pierce through the veil, colouring the sky a warm gold and slowly bringing the outlines of Füssen and the Ostallgäu to life.

In these moments, the Allgäu reveals its most romantic side. The silence is deep, almost solemn, and yet full of life. Reeds sway gently in the wind, their reflections dancing on the still water. The mountains in the background – familiar, mighty, timeless – stand like silent guardians over this scene.

Here, in the heart of Swabia, Upper Swabia and Bavaria, Europe seems far away, and yet you are right in the middle of it. Lake Hopfensee becomes a place where thoughts soften and the heart opens. A place where the morning sun illuminates not only the day, but also the soul.

It is a moment that lingers – like a gentle kiss from nature that you never forget.
