Meteora in Greece is one of Europe’s most spectacular landscapes. Centuries-old Orthodox monasteries perch atop enormous rock formations that tower high above the Thessalian landscape. The unique combination of nature, history and architecture makes this UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the most photogenic places in Greece.

This photograph brings the impressive beauty and almost mysterious atmosphere of Meteora to life. The imposing rocks, historic monasteries and sweeping mountain landscape combine to create a timeless image.
