A detail of an old piece of bridge fencing, on which you can see the construction of the parts, the silver flaking paint and some rust spots. The longer you look at the image, the more you see on it: a small vista, the construction with the hefty head nails and some moss formation. And if you look at it even longer, your imagination can run wild and you might end up in other realms.
This fencing was photographed in a community where I lived for a while. When I walked past the bridge fencing, the image immediately triggered me. How was it constructed? Why is the paint peeling and how long has this process been going on? I love the industrial character and the ironwork, which is stillistic, alive.
In addition to this picture, I also took a 2nd such picture and together the pictures'll form a nice unity.
Photography has been my interest for many years. In recent years I have gone a little deeper into it because I wanted to develop myself further as an amateur photographer.
