The Montevideo is a tall building with luxury flats and offices in Rotterdam. Officially opened on 19 December 2005, the building was then the tallest residential tower in the Netherlands and the tower itself is 139.5 metres high. The name Montevideo refers to the past, when Wilhelminapier still had many warehouses, one of which bore the name of Uruguay's capital Montevideo. On the roof of the tower is a large, three-dimensional letter -M-. This letter obviously refers to the tower's name, but according to the architect, it can have many references. Including the "M", the building is 152.32 metres tall. The tower is divided into sky, city, loft and water flats.
